Project: London Film Festival - Skills Development Week
Background: The Skills Development Week takes place every year during the Times BFI London Film Festival. The initiative, which was funded by Skillset, Film London and the BFI, is designed to help individuals working in film to further develop their skills. My brief was to programme a series of seminars and workshops for next step filmmakers.


Event Management:

  • Devising week-long event programme for next step filmmakers
  • Advertising event as widely as possible through partner organisations and publications
  • Managing all event logistics

Programme Development:

  • Conducting research into type of content most relevant and suitable for participants
  • Researching and recruiting speakers to run various sessions
  • Managing candidate application and selection process and providing information, advice and guidance

Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaising with, and managing interests of, funding partner agencies
  • Regular reporting to partners and involving them at every stage
